Once you have contacted us, we will arrange an appointment to meet both you & your dog/s. We do not take bookings for dogs we haven’t met before. It’s very important for us to assess the suitability & compatibility of your dog with our current group of dogs before we commit to looking after them. We won’t look after any dog that has a history of aggression or any form of behaviour that makes it a threat to other dogs or members of the public.
The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (new changes May 2014) makes it quite clear that whoever is looking after a dog is responsible for its behaviour, which means that we are responsible for all dogs in our care and are therefore liable to prosecution should anything go wrong. We also require you to complete a registration form before any bookings are undertaken. All dogs we look after must be fully-vaccinated.
We require you to commit to booking at least one day a week with us. We’re aware that everyone has different schedules/needs so therefore want to be as flexible as possible, but it’s important that there is continuity and regularity in the pack. We do ask that you book in as far in advance as possible as places fill up very quickly and we want to be able to accommodate everyone.
The first session with us is used as an assessment where we get to know your dog and to understand if there are any areas of their behaviour that need to be worked on ie pulling on a lead, lack of recall, scavenging etc. We want day care to not only be a fun environment for them, but one in which they will learn and become the best dogs they can be.
bark & ride
Our day care centre is open from 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday, although we do provide day care on Sat/Sun too, but this must be booked in advance.
We wanted to create a ‘home away from home’ for the dogs in our care, which we think we have achieved. The dogs have free rein at the day care centre and have all the space they need to feel safe, comfortable & happy.
We provide a ‘bark & ride’ service, whereby we pick up & drop off at home from the following locations:
Archway – Finsbury Park – Hackney – Harringay – Highgate – Highbury – Holloway – Kentish Town – Tufnell park – Stoke Newington
Day care starts & finishes with a group walk, where the dogs are supervised and encouraged to play and engage with one another. We have a core group of regulars who are always looking to welcome new friends to the group.
